Brain imaging
Introduction
Ultrasound is an emerging neuroimaging technique that offers measurements of both brain structure and function. The primary challenge in ultrasound brain imaging is to overcome skull aberration.
In rodent studies, our group is focused on developing image reconstruction and processing techniques, as well as the experimental setup for 3D Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) and 4D functional ultrasound neuroimaging. By integrating multimodal data, including cerebrovascular morphology and brain function, we aim to advance the study of neurological disorders, such as Alzheimer’s disease and stroke.
For human applications, our group is developing specialized hardware and algorithms for ultrasound tomography.
