Ultrasound has been well established as a front line clinical imaging tool for diagnosis and treatment monitoring in a wide range of diseases such as cardiovascular diseases and cancer. Recent advances in e.g. ultrasonic engineering, computing, and contrast agents have made it possible to  image and quantify tissue structure and function with unprecedented sensitivity and resolution. Such techniques offer potentials to detect  diseases and their responses to treatment at a much earlier stage and with greater accuracy at point of care.

Our research

Our group is working on the development of new imaging, signal processing and computing techniques which push the boundary in ultrasound spatial and temporal image resolution and information content, and their clinical applications in the diagnosis and treatment  of cardiovascular diseases, cancer and neurological conditions.

  • Lantern Festival

Jingwen managed to bring the Lantern Festival to South Kensington! An incredible evening making tangyuan, enjoying hot pot, and solving ultrasound-related riddles.

  • Qingyuan’s Viva

Celebrating Dr. Tan! We would like to congratulate Qingyuan for passing his viva and are excited to announce he will be staying with us as a postdoctoral researcher.

  • Biao’s Viva

Celebrating Dr. Huang all together at the Union bar! Warmest congratulations to Biao for passing his viva, well-deserved!

We are constantly looking for talented PhD candidates and Postdocs to join our group.
